Blog # 7 Resume
I believe my resume is pretty good I spent a great deal of time working on it so it better good. I had my grandparents proof read it as well and they thought it was alright. I'm not gonna say it's perfect but I made a strenuous effort to add as much detail as I could to it. I wasn't able to get all the exact numbers of my past jobs but I put down what I remembered. All in all I think it turned out better than it did in my head. The why that the boxes were explained in class to me was a little bit more complicated than it actually is. But pretty much I think that the Resume project was way easier then the essays were, atleast everything I put on there was about myself, and I'm pretty sure I already know alot about myself. I did have a slight problem getting all of my referances addresses...a few didn't want me to give all that info about themselfs...I think they think ur gonna stalk them Ms. Peters..lol don't be calling my friends! lol j/p I actually kinda liked doin the resume, It made me think back to the rough days when I had no job...Those are some pretty broke memories.

When I think of humor I think Of something funny. Something or someone who makes me laugh. Humor to me is being able to play and joke around and not to take things so serious. but then again you don't wanna be too humorous. Yes, I do laugh out loud when something is funny..when things are funny I don't just hold it in I laugh, atleast last I heard that whats normal people do. Anyone who has a great sense of humor is welcome to chat with me any day of the week..As for that Cocain dealer article..That was sort of funny but I thought it was more stupid than anything...hows he doing illegal activities involving drugs, then when those illegal possesions get stolen, he decides to call 911 in an attempt to try to do what? "get them back?" Ha! that's crazy stupid, that guy deserves to go to jail for that one. He ratted himself out pretty much..lol Hello? Hello? Dispacher, someone stole my Cocain... what did he really think was gonna be done about it? Would they say,"Ok sir we'll try are best to return your Cocain as soon as we can."..lmao! That guy was an idiot.. Thank god for school or else people would be thinkin like that guy. He breaks the law and he wants the law to help him break the law..what was he thinking? But I actually enjoyed reading that article.
Style, Is a personal charcteristic of ones individuality or way of doing things. The way you dress, act, eat, write, cook, fight, or talk can all be styles. It's your special way of doing things. That's what I believe style is.
When I write papers I usually give off a little of my personality traits such as my humor. I like to make my reader smile every once in a while just so they are able to either relate or stay interested in what I have to say.

Blog #5 Essay 3
I felt like Essay 3 was a little easier than eassy 2. I feel that way because in eassy two there were 3 different stories you had to write about and it kinda mad things a little more complicated. With this essay it was only between two passages..but I do feel that the passages were a little more vague then the passages of essay 2. The more things you add into the comparisont the more things you have to write and the more things you have to look out for in your writting. I kinda feel that essay 2 should have been 1000+ words and essay 3 should have been 500+ words. I don't think that the readings were necessarily defficult but they were more to understand then the ones of essay 2. I liked the fact that I only had to relate to to things but to sum erything up I kinda didn't like the assignment just because there was soo much typing to do...lol
I don't think that structuring the essay was difficult, I think that ending it was a little tought for me just because I didn't have alot to talk about. I basically fallowed the structure of a standard essay. For this I also attempted to use the TS/CM..Idk but for some reason I always find it to be difficult to do the CM's. Mabey I don't have the right concept in my head. I look at the notes and every thing, I even go online and look it up to try to make it easier for me to understand. It sort of helped but not too much. Mabey I did do it right and just had hard time thinking of things to write I really don't knoe but whatever it is I've been havin a pain in the neck over it.

Blog #4 Essay 2
I actually didn't have that great of a problem completing this assignment. I read the material and chose the 3 that I believed to have the strogest connection with eachother. Although all of them sort of had the same concept in a way. The only problem I had with this assignment is knowing when to stop writting. I feel that I focused on one story more than I focused on the others and I didn't really balance them out like I should have. I have never compared three different passages on to one paper before, it was actually somewhat exciting to experience something new like that. I'm not sure if I did the cwork Cited right but I gave it a whirl. I wish I woulda chose different stories that relate to eachother, I think it would have been a little bit more easy. I attempted many many time throughout the essay to write TS/CD form but I got stuck when I would mention certain things. What sort of got me caught up was the CM's. I would have a topic, then I would take some sort of quote out of the book, then I wouldn't really know what to say after that. I tried to fill in the space and the gaped thoughts but Is was a bit difficult for me to add the TS/CD in the mix. I think If I had a little bit more practice with the TS/CD It would work alot better for me. But I do understand I how it is supposed to work. practice makes perfect and I will continue to work on it. When I did this assignment I found it easier to write a topic at the beginning of the essay stating what the similarities are between the 3 passages I chose and writting about them in the order I read them. I sort of did each seperate part like essay #1 but I focused more on the similarity part more than just the summary...but When I did summarize the stories it was pretty clear what the similarities were between all three of the stories.
Blog #3 Essay 1
To be honest I like just writting summaries but it's just the quotes that freakin kill me I hate that. Everytime I say anything that is said in the story I had to cite it..I wish life was a little bit more simple. but I guess if college was easy everybody would attend..lol. I liked the fact that all I had to really do was read about a passage and talk about it. It wasn't all that bad actually. Honestly, this blogg is a bit late to answer a question about what I would have done differently about my essay...all I can hope for is that I did eveything required of me to do and that I get a decent grade so I don't have to be the only loser outta my friends who has to repeat English101...lol I don't really have the money to pay for all of this over again...I work enough as it is, and I'll prolly be working for the next 55 years. I had my girlfriend proof read my essay but then again what dose she know lol j/p, don't tell her Ms. Peters..or might I say Kristen lol. The article I read was actually quite intertaining. I read Parallel Worlds..I only really liked the passage because I love music and what better to read about something that you love..I love the way that the Author used quotes from actual songs to add more clarity to the subject. I actually have heard a few of the songs mentioned as well. The article really had me thinking, I did not know That C&W and Rap were that similar to eachother. All in all I tried my best with the knowledge that I have to do the assignment to the best of my abilities.

I think that I am a pretty good writter but then again don't we all think were good at things and later on in life find out that we're not? I feel that I am a goo Essay writter (Somewhat). I used to stuggle with English untill I took a summer school class a few summers ago that changed my whole concept of thinking. I feel that my streangth in writting is my broad imagination. I feel that I am able to free writ on commmand about anything. I am very good at making up stories, poems..ect The transition papers that we write for class, I find those actually quite easy for me to do. To take a statement and run it on to a completely different statement is made for me. I am able to think of the most random things known to man..lol however, with every streangth comes a weakness. I don't know If it's just me but at times I feel that my punctuation is not all that hot. I remember in middle school when we were really getting into correct punctuation I didn't really pay attention much so that may have contributed to it juat alittle bit. Also I do not cite work too well, this has always been a problem for me. At times I find myself going to websites just filling in the name of the book/website/source, and author and just copying whatever cite that comes up. Ususally 6 times outta ten that cite is wrong. I always seem to write pretty decent essays but I always loss points for work cited because I never do it right.
It was not hard for me at all to write the essay, because it's just not all that difficult for me.. I feel that I could potentially be a great writter. I enjoy writting, but only when I write about things that interest me..like right now, If this topic was not about me I prolly would not be writting so much..lol. I do like writting on the spot buit at times it gets frustrating depending on wwhat the topic is.

Honestly I had no I dea what these words even truly ment. I thought of rhetoric as like a rhetorical question or something like that..lol and when I thought of genres, I figured it was was like different subject and stuff. But mostly, the first thing that came to my mind was music. Music is the number one thing asscociated with that word that I can think of. However, I did actually take the time to read throught the concepts and I found myself to be quite suprised with what I learned. I realized that writting is very important to the everyday person. lol I write everyday weather I like it or not. With Rhetorical situations you always want to know your audience and what point you wanna make. Who do you want to reach out to and what your audiences back round consists of. A good thing to know is what their interests are. I'm pretty sure that a group full of SOX fans wouldn't wanna hear about the sorry cubs..lol I guess that was a good example. As for genres, I never really thought that genres of writting were really broken up into Essay, e-mail, memo and speech forms. I'll try my best to use what I learned from this reading and apply it to my everyday school work...or even my career.
